Babka Shiksa

Babka Shiksa is an artisanal pastry company, crafting the delicious handmade Jewish treat known as babka. This yeast based bread is twisted with various ingredients, the classic variety being twisted with rich chocolate.

In need of branding and supporting visual handouts to get started, we got to work building the right feel for this new company. As babka is an old tradition usually served during special holidays, we wanted to embody the feel of a classic European bakery in the branding.

Operating only seasonally or by special request for handmade markets, Babka Shiksa required some diversity in it’s online presence. First off, a simple landing page that directed clients to the email contact for vendor/order inquiries as well as links for social networks. This is replaced seasonally with a one page website (currently under construction) listing the current flavours and ordering deadlines. Following this we designed a promotional postcard to hand out at artisan markets, and to leave in various local shops.
