Tess and Dave | Engagement Photography | High Park Toronto

Once every year for just one magical week, the cherry trees of High Park in Toronto bloom. They create a canopy of pinkish white flowers, fill the air with their sweet smell, and attract scores of visitors to the park. If you are willing to get up at the crack of dawn to avoid the crowds, these beautiful trees cast a feeling of romance in the air that is just perfect for some adorable portraits. Tess and Dave were willing to do just that to capture some beautiful photos of the two of them having a nice walk through the park and enjoying the cherry trees. You can feel the love between these two and how special these moments were to them. Especially as due to some upcoming business travel, it was their last day together for some time before their wedding day. Thank you for sharing these moments with me Tess and Dave and all the best wishes for the future!

Is spring finally here? I’m getting the itch to photograph some more gorgeous weddings and family portrait sessions! I don’t think I can handle any more snow or frost…and neither can the adorable Olivia! Weddingbells | Real Wedding Feature | Amy and Justin’s Picnic Wedding | Mississauga

Amy and Justin’s fantastically cool picnic wedding has been featured on the home page of Weddingbells! This was one of the most unique weddings I’ve ever photographed. There were fun games, picnic box lunches, lemonade stands and even an ice cream cart. You can check out my original blog post with the images here, or the feature on Weddingbells here. PS…The only thing I didn’t get time to photograph was Nicholas Cage. He was filming a movie (I suspect “Kick Ass 2″) in the area beside us, but it was barricaded with security guards. How cool of a family portrait would that have been?!?

I’m so excited to have been recently awarded the Bride’s Choice Award from Wedding Wire and Martha Stewart Weddings!!!! About a month ago I was told that I had been given this great honour and as if that wasn’t awesome enough, my plaque just arrived in the mail. Ooooh, shiny! I honestly feel like this is the best job in the world, and I love you all for helping me be a part of something so amazing.

Don’t you just want to squeeze those sweet pudgy cheeks? Just 2 weeks old here, Daniel is an adorable little man that I recently photographed for the Weir family. I’ve been photographing the Weir’s right from the beginning! From Erin and Sean’s engagement, through their wedding, and the growth of their daughter Ava…and now with the new addition of Daniel. It’s an amazing feeling to be a part of something so special for this long, through all of life’s adventures.

Beautiful Babies! | Toronto baby photographer | 6 month old babies

A few weeks ago I was given the treat of photographing a group of delightful little babies. These sweet little smiles, fingers and toes were almost too much for me to bear! Most of my clients thus far have been for wedding photography (where you get funny looks if you make cooing noises and blow on peoples bellies), so this chance to get close up and playful was a great experience. Similar to my wedding photography style, I try to be as natural as possible in capturing these little cuties. Soft natural light, in home visits, and no big props or sets are what makes these images real and personable. As my wedding clients start families, I look forward to more chances to capture the giggles, drool and chubby little legs that are making an appearance in the world.

Stratos and Dina – Embassy Grand – Toronto Wedding

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Dina and Stratos. Like most Greek weddings, this was a party from sunrise to sunset! The thing that I love most about Greek weddings is the time spent getting ready before the ceremony. It is always just as much fun as the reception later in the night. Dina and Stratos’ entire family was gathered to celebrate early in the day, and I found at times that I didn’t even know where to stand…everywhere I turned there was a grandparent, family friend or little cutie pie! What a supportive and loving start on their big journey. Congrats Dina and Stratos, all the best!!!

Macy at 5 months old – Baby Photography – Toronto

Say hello to Macy…isn’t she gorgeous?! This little darling is the baby of a friend of mine, and she is just so sweet that it seemed wrong not to have a photo-shoot for her before she got too big. We spent about an hour with Macy (and made *tons* of great images) in her home this week being cooed at, smiled at and giggled at. Photographing babies isn’t something I’ve done as often as weddings, but after this I think I will. How could I not want to be around such sweetness more often? Documenting such a delicious and momentary stage in life is an honour that I hope to have more of in the future. Thanks for sharing your afternoon with me Macy!
